Tyler Stutzman and Michael Atchoo advanced to the mile final at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on a busy Friday for the duo in Fayetteville, Ark.

Stanford sophomore Luke Lefebure won the NCAA Elite 89 Award, given to the athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Fourteen Stanford athletes will head to Fayetteville, Ark., to participate in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend. The list includes seven individual qualifiers and two relays.

Stanford opened its outdoor track and field season as it continued its indoor campaign, and both meets provided top marks for the Cardinal on Saturday.

Stanford's 13-year-old distance medley relay record was the first to fall Friday and the women's 800 was next.

Two last-chance indoor meets and an outdoor home opener make for a busy weekend for the Stanford track and field team.
