Melissa Tanaka, Roisin Willis and Juliette Whittaker 1st Place Women's Distance Medley Relay - Arkansas Razorback Indoor Invitational 2023

Melissa Tanaka, Roisin Willis and Juliette Whittaker teamed with Maya Valmon to lead Stanford to victory in the women's distance medley relay in 10:55.15 at the Razorback Invitational at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Whittaker led off with a 3:18.96 split, which is the third-fastest indoor 1,200 leg ever by a collegiate competitor, No. 7 in U.S. indoor history and No. 9 all-time indoors in the world. Valmon clocked 52.41 on the 400 leg, Willis produced the fastest indoor 800 split in world DMR history with her 2:01.06 leg and Tanaka anchored in 4:42.72 for the Cardinal. Willis ran 2:03.29 on the 800 leg in April to contribute to the world indoor DMR record of 10:33.85, joining New Balance professional athletes Heather MacLean, Kendall Ellis and Elle St. Pierre in achieving the mark in Boston.
